Lucy Ellis-Keeler is a highly accomplished professional at Citi’s EMEA Markets Compliance Team, specializing in the Commodities Business. Prior to joining the Commodities team, she played a vital role in the Chief of Staff Office for the Chief Compliance Officer of the Institutional Client Group (ICG) business and CBNA. In this capacity, she developed emerging risk frameworks, focusing on areas such as ESG, digital assets, and emerging technology.
With a strong focus on compliance and risk management, Lucy leads SEC/CFTC regulatory remediation workstreams, ensuring alignment with off-channel communications requirements. Additionally, she manages the privacy programme for her department, implementing robust privacy measures. Lucy’s exceptional career includes significant contributions at Bank of America, providing invaluable support to the Global Transaction Services business within the Compliance Advisory team. She also contributed to the management of the Compliance Programme, helping deliver key projects including Brexit.
She holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Bristol and is certified in Regulations & Securities by the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI), showcasing her dedication to professional development.
Beyond her professional endeavours, Lucy actively supports the EMEA Citi Women employee network, assisting employees in expanding their networks and advancing Citi’s gender agenda. She also mentors entrepreneurs through the Mayor’s Fund for London, supports students aged 16-18 in exploring career paths through the Career Ready program, and leads Citi’s relationship with Smart Works, empowering women during job interviews. She collaborates with Women in Banking and Finance (WIBF) to deliver strategic events for the benefit of our corporate and individual members, on topics such as ESG through the gender lens.
