Beverley Brown

  • Management Board

Beverley joined the investment banking industry in 1986, initially for Chase Manhattan Bank and then CSFB in corporate finance. In ‘91 she moved to ICAP’s embryonic Emerging Markets Fixed Income broking team, spending four years between London and New York. By ‘94, as Director, Bev headed up and built the operations executive search arm of Emerging Markets Search leading her to co-found Nicoll Curtin in ‘99, a global investment banking recruitment consultancy, expanding internationally to Singapore & Switzerland with over 90 employees, which was name #2 in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Small Companies to work for.

Beverley developed a reputation for identifying and showcasing talent and opportunities by helping people and organisations connect and foster beneficial relationships. And by 2011 having sold her shares in Nicoll Curtin she had set up Kenbury Associates consultancy, and was exclusively retained by Deutsche Bank for global executive search. Beverley has leveraged her people power, advising, co-founding and investing in numerous organisations, including: Source, a luxury concierge app; 2to3days, social and economic movement, connecting progressive companies with highly capable and talented women; ELEMENTARYb, a new fintech platform designed to help mid-sized enterprises build resilience in todays uncertain financial climate; and CTR Partners, a business & technology transformation recruitment specialist.

Over the years Beverley has lent her expertise to a number of charities and associations. She helped set up the charity ‘The Emerging Markets Charity for Children’, raising millions of pounds for organisations like Children in Need. Beverley also became an Ambassador to NSPCC/Childline and later helped develop the Trailblazers event, celebrating women in Sport, Business & Media and focusing on mental health. Beverley joined WIBF in 2019 volunteering to be part of a team working on the 40th anniversary logo, and in December 2020 joined the Women in Banking and Finance and Communities & Networking Committee as the Head of Female Entrepreneurs.

As a connector and mentor Beverley is passionate about paying things forward. ““You may be wanting to have a go at something and still need encouragement and some handholding”. She understands that organisations thrive when they provide an inclusive environment for every ounce of human potential to be realized.
