Lauren Cassells

Lauren is the Design Lead in the FCA Innovation Lab team, leading on the regulatory hackathon program. Prior to this role, Lauren worked at EY in their Financial Crime consulting practice whilst also pursuing a degree apprenticeship and chartered management qualification.

Lauren is passionate about advancing gender equity in the banking and finance sector and has been involved in various initiatives across this space such as leading EY’s regional Women’s network and as a member of Women on Boards North East. Leveraging her experience in entering the sector through a degree apprenticeship scheme, and being based in Newcastle, she is particularly passionate about empowering young females who may have otherwise not considered pursuing a career in banking, finance or technology.
