Communities and networking
Bringing women together
On top of our footprint spanning the length and breadth of the UK, where we connect women in financial services working locally to your own home, we also bring individuals together based on other aspects of their professional lives.
Below, you'll find details of some of these networks, which are available exclusively to WIBF members. If you don’t see a community you’d like to be part of, get in touch—we’d love to hear your ideas.

Women in Tech Network
The WIBF Women in Tech Network is a new community for women in technology across financial services. This network is open to WIBF members at all levels who are working in tech, as well as those at the start of their career journey, students, those who are looking to transition into a tech role or just stay informed with what is happening in the tech ecosystem.
Technology is transforming financial services, but women remain underrepresented in many areas. The Women in Tech Network will provide a space to connect, share insights, and support each other in navigating the challenges and opportunities in this fast-evolving field. Whether you are just starting out or leading major initiatives, this network is designed to help you build relationships, learn from peers, and gain inspiration from women who are shaping the future of tech.
Through events, discussions, thought leadership and skill-building initiatives, we aim to create a supportive and collaborative community where women can thrive.
If you are passionate about technology and want to be part of a network that champions women in the women in tech in the finance industry, we’d love to have you involved.
We are delighted that Infosys - a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, is supporting the Women in Tech network as an Ambassador.

Female Financial Advisors Network
The Female Financial Advisors network is our newest initiative dedicated to creating an inclusive, diverse, and supportive environment where women can thrive.
This vibrant community aims to empower female financial advisors by fostering connections and sharing knowledge through a brand-new LinkedIn group, as well as in-person and online events.
If you are a female financial advisor and would like to join us to build a network of like-minded professionals, exchange insights, and support each other’s growth and success do sign up today!

Our Awards Alumni
With awards presented annually since 1998, WIBF has had the privilege of recognising a list of amazing individuals and teams over the years. These select few are invited to join our awards alumni and gain access to exclusive, invitation-only events, including our monthly Alumni Zoom rooms, an informal catch up with alumni members. Keep an eye out for emails on this and on the events page. We are also introducing quarterly newsletters for alumni to keep you up-to-date with what we are up to.
We had an amazing event on 23 April 2024 in London, where Deutsche Bank hosted us for an evening of networking. This was a vibrant evening where our Alumni and WIBF management team met up to share experiences and hear all about the collective success of our members.
We're planning more Alumni in-person events in 2025, so watch this space!
If you are a WIBF Award winner and you want to get involved and receive emails about Alumni and WIBF activity, please get in touch with our operations team.

Future Leader Network
An active WIBF network, the group provides a space for young women to feel supported, share their goals, seek out advice, learn and grow together, and build connections. It offers a motivated and inspired community. Aimed at young professionals who are typically in the first 10 years of their career, we're delighted we have an engaged network of members who share the same values in terms of ambition, and support each other.

Senior Business Leaders Community
WIBF's Senior Business Leaders community is an industry peer forum that meets regularly in members' offices in London and is now seeking to branch out to set up a local network in Edinburgh too. Getting together every month, this group sees women and men in the most senior roles in financial services meet and discuss topics like tech, regulatory, innovation, challenges facing our gender in the workplace and more broadly in society. United by the values of respect, sponsorship and trust, its members seek to support the elevation of its other members, whether that is to achieve what they aspire to in their careers, or to encourage more women to take up senior leadership roles.
To join the SBL community, members need to be at the following levels in their job - Financial Services: MD and above, Consulting: Partner and above, Tech firms: VP and above.
Suggest a community
While we have groups that meet regularly based on their role within financial services (e.g. our Senior Business Leaders Network), through their connection to WIBF (e.g. the Awards Alumni community), or because of their future aspirations (e.g. our Future Leaders Network), other communities exist. If you have a specific network you would like to be part of, get in touch and tell us about your ideas!
