Women In banking champs 2017 announced as 20 years of role models are celebrated in landmark ceremony

A role model and mentor who was promoted to director after returning from a six-year career break has been named Champion for Women, in the 20th anniversary Women in Banking and Finance (WIBF) Awards for Achievement.

Tracy Jordan, of Credit Suisse, clinched the honour from an inspiring shortlist of six women and two men at a gala ceremony that recognised her roles as a board director, trustee, business leader, philanthropist and mentor.

Two additional individual awards and the team diversity award were also announced at today’s lunchtime ceremony at The Hilton Park Lane, proudly supported by headline sponsor Citi. The WIBF Awards for Achievement 2017 winners are:

  • Champion for Women: Tracy Jordan, Credit Suisse
  • Award for Achievement: Arlene Isaacs-Low, Moody’s
  • Young Professional of the Year: Francesca Lynch, Royal Bank of Canada
  • Team Diversity: Finance Diversity Team, Sky

WIBF President Vivienne Artz paid tribute to two decades of winners at the 20th anniversary awards and said: “Every year, for two decades, we see in our WIBF award winners courageous role models who are pushing ahead to create more inclusive workplaces. All of the these individual actions in firms across the nation come together to make the difference,” said Artz, herself a past winner of the Champion for Women award.”
