Trailblazers at The Kia Oval

WIBF are delighted to support the fourth Trailblazers event that will bring together women from across the sport, media and business worlds to celebrate the achievements of leading women in these fields, all with the wider purpose of raising funds for the NSPCC’s Childline service – the only free 24-hour confidential counselling service for young people.

Trailblazer events are designed to encourage and empower women who wish to work in sport or business by providing a forum for them to hear from influential women who are leaders in these areas. The speakers are united because they have all achieved success in roles and sectors traditionally dominated by men.

Previous speakers have included Clare Balding CBE, Dame Kelly Holmes, Ama Agbeze MBE, Sam Quek MBE and Lucy Bronze MBE.

The aspiration is that every woman who attends Trailblazers leaves believing that anything is possible and that glass ceilings are there to be broken.

The next event will take place on Thursday 21st September at The Kia Oval where panellists will reflect upon their successes and their personal journey both professionally and personally, providing candid viewpoints, insights and stories of the challenges women can face and the barriers they’ve overcome.

Tickets on are sale now via the NSPCC website: https://trailblazers.nspcc.org.uk/?purchase_tickets

The Trailblazers Business Panel is formed of Resource Solutions CEO Norma Gillespie, NatWest’s Wincie Wong, Head of Digital X Workforce Technical Capability and Edwina Dunn OBE, Founder of The Female Lead. The exciting Sports Panel is yet to be announced, but includes Ski Sunday presenter Chemmy Alcott – more guests will be announced soon!

Guests will also have the opportunity to network with the speakers and other guests before and after the main event, and will enjoy some incredible live music from the London Community Gospel Choir.

With support from the Event Committee, BBC’s Jade Lauriston, FA’s Louisa Fyans and WIBF’s Bev Brown, we’re looking to raise £35,000 at this event, covering one day of the NSPCC’s life-changing Childline Service.
