  • Volunteer of the Month

Rachel Harbers has been Co-Chair of the Future Leaders Shadow Board since 2019. During this time, she has worked tirelessly to drive the key strategic priorities of WIBF in collaboration with the Management Board. Rachel has also been pivotal in progressing the launch of the Future Leader’s Network which aims to connect young professionals in the finance industry. She has also helped to equitize and diversify the FLSB recruitment process by formalising the job description and interview process to ensure the continued success of the Board.

Most recently Rachel was instrumental in submitting a successful workshop application for the One Young World Summit, a global youth leadership conference, and helping to secure tickets to attend as delegates. Rachel is always forward-thinking and looking to maximise other volunteers’ experience of WIBF. She helped to redesign the FLSB meeting format to invite guest speakers to provide a ‘value-add’ to other FLSB members.

“Rachel is a pleasure to volunteer with and her dedication to the FLSB is admirable. Rachel is thoughtful and an excellent leader who we can all learn from” – Sarah Woodard, Co-Chair of the Future Leaders Shadow Board.
