We are currently offering the opportunity to sponsor a young woman to attend the One Young World event in Montreal later this year. Align your brand with positive social impact within the finance industry both in the UK and on a global platform and to invest in the future leaders of the industry.

WIBF is currently seeking sponsorship support for its Future Leaders Shadow Board (FLSB) to send two of its members to the prestigious One Young World Summit in Montréal, Canada, from 18th to 21st September 2024. Additionally, we aim to fund two scholarship places for young women who have demonstrated significant contributions to the financial sector.

About One Young World (OYW)

One Young World is a global platform that identifies, connects, and promotes young leaders, providing them with an opportunity to accelerate positive change. Annually, the summit gathers over 2,000 young leaders from 190+ countries and 250+ organisations to collaborate on initiatives that contribute to social impact and global betterment.

We hosted a webinar on Tuesday 16 January with Nicky King and Gabriella Kehily, who attended One Young World in 2023. They explain more about the sponsorship and Gaby speaks from first hand experience of the One Young Word summit.

Do watch the video below, and there is more detail about what we are asking for beneath the video.

WIBF's Proposition

As a social enterprise committed to UN Sustainable Development Goals 5, 8, and 10, WIBF views the OYW Summit as a perfect opportunity to expand its brand as a UN SDG organisation, learn from global best practices, and build an international network.

During the summit, FLSB delegates will present a workshop on WIBF’s Accelerating Change Together (ACT) Research, the UK’s first cross-sector initiative addressing gender and inclusion challenges in the financial services industry.

The WIBF x One Young World Scholarship Programme is a new element of this partnership, aiming to elevate the work of two young women in the financial sector. The focused selection process seeks candidates championing gender equality, social mobility, and financial literacy. Scholarship recipients will receive 1:1 mentorship from a FLSB member and an annual WIBF membership.

Why Sponsor OYW?

  • Brand presence in the form of logos and text in all of WIBF’s OYW social media posts and workshop presentation at OYW. WIBF’s LinkedIn page currently has 25,220 followers.
  • A special feature article with company logos and text in the WIBF Digest newsletter which has a distribution list of 3,000 people.
  • A chance to contribute to a life-changing opportunity for two female changemakers in the industry in the form of a scholarship place, and funding for two young leaders within the industry to learn and exchange ideas on a global platform.
  • If you sponsor over £5,000 the two Future Leaders will present the ACT workshop to a group of 20 of your employees post-Summit to share our key learnings and pioneering industry leading recommendations.
  • The beneficiaries of the Scholarship will either present or share a video with your company of their key learnings and next steps post-Summit
  • Opportunity to align your brand with positive social impact within the finance industry both in the UK and on a global platform and to invest in the future leaders of the industry.
