NEW PRESIDENT VIVIENNE ARTZ | 2017 WIBF AWARDS SHORTLIST REVEALED | WIBF BIRMINGHAM LAUNCH

“I am tremendously excited as I look forward to the next three years in my term as President of Women in Banking and Finance. I am delighted to have the opportunity to work together towards our network’s aims of career development and industry diversity.

I know that we share the same ambitions for ourselves and for our sector. I am confident that together, speaking the same language of opportunity and ambition, we can move this conversation forward.

WIBF is proud to support industry and government developments when they are ambitious for women. I want WIBF to challenge current thinking, to challenge ourselves and our sector. I want WIBF to lead the industry thinking in these areas.

2017 WIBF 20th ANNIVERSARY AWARDS FOR ACHIEVEMENT SHORTLIST

I am delighted to share the shortlist for this year’s WIBF 20th Anniversary Awards for Achievement. I am proud of these awards and how they provide an opportunity to showcase and celebrate the exceptional talent at work in the industry today. The colleagues who nominated these shortlisted women (and men) have already shown how proud they are of their colleagues, so let’s spread the word, within the industry, about these impressive women and men, and their considerable achievements.

The winners will be announced on Friday 9th June at the WIBF 20th Anniversary Awards for Achievement 2017 Luncheon, as sponsored by Citi, a long-standing and valued Corporate Member. Shortlisted nominees are invited to our inaugural Shortlist Dinner in May, kindly hosted by Corporate Member and 2016 Awards Sponsor, Macquarie. This will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and network with other talented members of the 2017 Awards shortlist.

A NEW CHAPTER FOR WIBF – BIRMINGHAM HUB LAUNCHES

It is exciting to be part of the growth and innovation at WIBF. The launch of Birmingham as a new WIBF Chapter is a very welcome development in our network’s ambition to be accessible to as many women in the industry as possible across the UK. Jenny Koo of RBS will lead the Birmingham hub. Welcome to the Executive Board, Jenny.

WIBF 2017 CHARITY – BAKHITA HOUSE

WIBF if delighted to support our 2017 charity, Bakhita House, at the Awards Lunch. Bakhita House does necessary and compassionate work with female victims of human trafficking.

Representatives of Bakhita House will be at the Awards Luncheon to share details of their work and tell you why your generosity is so appreciated and so essential.

Please be ready to give cash or cheque donations at the Luncheon in support of this wonderful charity.
