June 2022: Lynsey Cochrane

news published date 26 May 2022
  • Volunteer of the Month
Lynsey has helped both of WIBF’s Scottish branches since joining as a volunteer in April 2021.

This month sees National Volunteers’ Week which runs from 1st to 7th June, so it is fitting to be celebrating a volunteer who works consistently to support her fellow volunteers and members of both the WIBF Scotland branches. Lynsey joined WIBF as a volunteer in April 2021 and was integral to developing the Glasgow Board, she now supports Edinburgh as well and is Operations Lead for WIBF Scotland, drawing on her background in content development and website management. She was nominated by Victoria Pringle, Scotland’s Board Chair.

Lynsey is a team player and ensures the Scotland Board members are all held accountable for tracking their actions and deliverables. And she’s happy to support the mentoring team when needed. She has taken on specific responsibility for membership engagement, organising the various surveys that our Scottish members receive. If you are a WIBF member in Scotland you might have also seen or joined the recently launched WIBF Scotland LinkedIn page, another one of Lynsey’s projects. She is currently leading on the Glasgow Networking (in person event) to be held in the summer.

Victoria said “I can’t thank Lynsey enough for her continuous support – it goes without saying we would be lost without her drive and dedication to WIBF Scotland! Thank you Lynsey.”
