We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Lauren Cassells as the new Co-Chair for the Women in Banking and Finance UK Future Leaders Shadow Board!

Lauren brings a wealth of expertise and passion to the role, with a strong commitment to driving social mobility and advancing gender equity in the finance industry.

Thank you to our outgoing Co-Chair, Sarah Woodard, whose dedication and impactful contributions have been the cornerstone of our success. Under Sarah’s guidance, the Future Leaders Shadow Board launched the Future Leaders Network, and the Student Engagement Strategy.

As we continue to champion the next generation of leaders, Lauren, together with Lucy Ellis-Keeler will play a pivotal role in guiding our Future Leaders Shadow Board for its next phase of growth.

Lauren is the Design Lead in the FCA Innovation Lab team, leading on the regulatory hackathon program and is a member of Women on Boards North East. Prior to this role, Lauren worked at EY and led EY’s regional Women’s network. Leveraging her experience in entering the sector through a degree apprenticeship scheme, and being based in Newcastle, Lauren is particularly passionate about empowering young females who may have otherwise not considered pursuing a career in banking and finance.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Lauren and a heartfelt thank you to Sarah for her invaluable contributions! We look forward to working together to foster an environment that nurtures growth, collaboration, and empowerment for women in banking and finance.
