Julia Smith – Volunteer of the month – May 2021

Julia Smith is WIBF’s Director of Marketing and Partnerships. As well as volunteering for WIBF, her day job is Head of Marketing at The FISER Group, which specialises in consulting, executive search, and recruitment in financial services.

Julia is passionate about diversity and has put in place a number of award winning initiatives focusing on the representation and engagement of women, particularly in the context of diverse talent pipelining.

WIBF’s Director of Communications and PR Karen Bennett nominated Julia for Volunteer of the Month, she said,

“My first role with WIBF was supporting the communications for the 23rd Awards for Achievement, joining less than a month before the event. Julia was (and is) fantastic. Providing practical advice, background information on WIBF itself and its activities and endless encouragement, Julia is a role model for the volunteers who are crucial to the organisation’s success. I am delighted that I can continue to work closely with Julia as we seek to position and promote the organisation for the next 40 years and beyond.”
