On Thursday night WIBF brought together the amazing women who form the shortlisted nominees for this year`s Awards for Achievement.

“Held on the 9th floor of Lloyds Banking Group’s Gresham Street office overlooking the City of London, over thirty women gathered together to celebrate the achievements of the shortlisted nominations for the 2018 Awards for Achievement. As well as most of the shortlist, members of the WIBF Executive board and Lloyds Banking group, also attended.

Gill Wylie, Enterprise Transformation Director, Lloyds Banking Group opened the evening, asking guests to have a great time and enjoy meeting and networking with the inspiring women in the room.

Vivienne Artz, WIBF President then spoke about how excited she was to meet everyone and that everyone on the shortlist was already a winner. This year WIBF had received a record number of nominations this year and that we were expecting a record 500 people at the Awards luncheon in June.

“Well done to the shortlist candidates of the 21st Anniversary Awards for Achievement – you are the top talent from the largest nomination list in the history of the Awards!”

All the shortlisted nominees were given a certificate and a personalised signed book, Deeds Not Words by Helen Pankhurst – great-granddaughter of suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst and a leading women’s rights campaigner which everyone was delighted to receive.

Dinner was delicious, and after dessert guests had a further chance to mingle and network over coffee.

Vivienne said after the event that is was… “An amazing evening where top talent came together to enjoy and celebrate their incredible achievements, to make new friends, and grow their network of impressive women in banking and financial services”

With only three weeks until the Awards Luncheon we are very excited to find out who has won each award.
