Last Friday, Anna Lane, our CEO, and Beverley Brown, lead on WIBF’s Alumni and a member of the Management Board were hosted by the wonderful Emma-Jane Apps, a Regional Account Manager at the Prudential.  They presented an overview of WIBF, focussing on empowering female financial advisers.  The session was aimed to provide a super group of senior females with valuable insights, practical strategies and networking opportunities to support their professional growth and success in the industry.
Who says boardrooms can’t be exciting? Last Friday, ours was less about crunching numbers and more about enlightening discussions. It mirrored the energising ambiance of a Women in Finance summit. The credit for this transformation? None other than Emma-Jane Apps, Regional Account Manager at The Prudential. As she scanned the room brimming with talented, driven women, she humorously noted, ‘This is a first!'”

Emma-Jane, ever the trailblazer, roped in our CEO Anna Lane, and Beverley Brown, our Management Board’s stalwart member and WIBF’s alumni leader, for the occasion. They gave an exciting snapshot of WIBF, its endeavours, and, more importantly, its commitment to encouraging female financial advisers.

The day was packed with the sort of insights that makes one want to shout, “Tell me more!”, strategies you’d secretly scribble on a post-it, and networking opportunities that made you glad you swiped right on this event.

To cap it all off, we showcased the hard work that went into our ACT research programme. Dr. Grace Lordan from the LSE partnered with us on this journey, culminating in the Good Finance Framework, a research tour de force that might just change the way we think about finance.

As we closed out a day brimming with open, interactive discussions, we reflected on our industry’s unique challenges and opportunities, our collective experiences as women in finance, and where we’re headed next. So here’s to more boardrooms filled with women, valuable insights, and hey, maybe even some more humour!
