Women in Banking & Finance are delighted to be collaborating with members of the Professional Bodies Forum to bring this event to you in recognition of International Women’s Day 2020.

Workplace Diversity – Talking Breakthroughs and Best Practice

The UK and other countries are making very little progress on improving gender diversity in the boardroom; women are still under-represented on corporate boards, despite efforts to improve inclusion and gender balance. A growing body of evidence suggests that diversity at the top brings competitive advantages to corporations and investors.

The panel will discuss:

  • Business cases for diverse boards and progress to date
  • Practical actions and examples of success and overcoming barriers
  • How women and men both benefit in more diverse organisations and how we can support each other and work together

Georgina Bulkeley, Director of Strategy & Innovation at RBS

Simon Thompson, CEO Chartered Banker Institute

Catherine Burnet, Head of KPMG Scotland
