WIBF and Lloyds Banking Group are delighted to invite you to this informative session on returning to work after maternity leave.

How do I show I’m still committed? How do I raise my visibility? How do I do a good job and progress my career and still have time for family life? These are three of the challenges Jessica and her colleagues regularly hear from coachees coming back from maternity and other types of extended leave in organisations such as BlackRock, Federated Hermes, ITV and CIPD.

In this webinar Jessica will share practical tips and bring the stories of real maternity returners to help you make a confident comeback.

You’ll have the opportunity to lay out your specific challenges and ask questions in the final 20 minutes.

Key take-aways:

  • 5 ways to develop a positive, confident mindset
  • How to strategically raise your visibility and rebuild relationships
  • Effective ways to pitch for flexible working
  • 5 ways to set yourself for a smooth return

Jessica Chivers is a coaching psychologist, author of Mothers Work! and founder of The Talent Keeper Specialists. She also hosts the Comeback Coach podcast for people riding the return to work roller-coaster.

The Talent Keeper Specialists are on a mission to keep everyone everywhere feeling confident, connected and cared for when they take extended leave from work. They’re pioneers of Comeback Community™, a digital platform designed to fuel engagement, build confidence and boost performance when employees are preparing for and returning from extended leave (Shared Parental Leave, maternity, adoption, sick leave and sabbatical).

Aged about nine Jessica asked her mum whether ‘woman’ was a contraction of ‘womb’ and ‘man’ and why women couldn’t have a name of their own. Her mother delighted in her thinking but didn’t have an answer. Growing up watching LA Law, Dynasty and hard-hitting documentaries (under the guidance of her liberal, teacher mother) she decided age 11 that she would become a lawyer and free women on death row in the U.S. for killing their abusive partners.

Instead she read psychology and had her head turned by a bank when she graduated. She started her career on the graduate scheme at Barclays before going on to work with Mind Gym and starting The Talent Keeper Specialists. She had a brief spell in local politics 2015-19 alongside her day job and has categorically ruled out the idea of becoming an MP!

She is mother to Monty and Artemis plus a furkid called Rocky; has a thing for kale smoothies and describes herself as a running evangelist.
