This event is going to explore who ‘Black Professionals Scotland’ (BPS) are, their primary aims and objectives, as well as how they plan to work with professional organisations in Scotland to improve their Black ethnic minority diversity.

BPS have gone from strength to strength over the last few years, and now boast a membership of over 500 professionals and students across Scotland. This will be an informal and relaxed event enabling participants to ask our presenters questions, and hopefully facilitate some good discussions around D&I in the workplace, particularly within Scotland. The event itself is going to be led by Enoch Adeyemi (Founder and CEO) and Janet Onyia (Technology Lead).

Enoch Adeyemi is passionate about fairness and equality and this drove him to found Black Professionals Scotland 5yrs ago. He now leads a team of 15 to deliver game changing initiatives which support both the Black community and Scottish businesses. Apart from this, Enoch is also the founder of an e-commerce marketplace and a tourism company. Enoch is also a Chartered Certified Accountant and provides financial and regulatory consultancy services to Financial Services organisations.

Janet Onyia is passionate about advocating for the increase of tangible opportunities for historically under represented people in technology(race, gender and social mobility). Janet is the founder of Accenture Women in Technology Scotland Community and Accenture African Caribbean Network Scotland. Janet is an experienced technology delivery expert with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex, large scale digital transformation projects and programmes within a range of sectors across both technical and functional teams.
