The final event of 2017, was a fun filled evening trending on twitter with the apt phrase of #bubblesandbaubles. The venue, Le monde which always looks fantastic at Christmas was a perfect space to allow people to chat, network, catch up with friends and make new ones.
We had a few potential members who came along to find out more about Women in Banking and Finance, they left the event saying that they were really impressed with how friendly everyone was and they were planning on joining. Jane Oliver, a previous long standing board member of our London branch who was up in Edinburgh for business also popped in for a catch up.
Niamh Simms, our branch chair representative for Edinburgh gave a lovely speech thanking all of the members for their support over the year, summarised the events from this year and provided the attendees with an update on the wide range of exciting events that will be on offer next year. It was a perfect end for what has been a very busy and successful year for the Edinburgh branch. Our members left very much looking forward to attending our events next year!
