Join us for “Lessons from four years of the Women in Finance Charter”, Chaired by Julia Gillard, Chair of the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership and Former Prime Minister of Australia.

In 2016, HM Treasury launched the “Women in Finance Charter”, with the aim of delivering the UK government’s aspiration to see gender balance at all levels across financial services firms. The charter’s membership criteria includes the requirement for an executive responsible for gender diversity and inclusion, the setting of internal targets for gender diversity in senior management, publishing progress, and an intention to amend any gender pay gaps found.

Panel:

Vivienne Artz is President of Women in Banking and Finance. Vivienne is the Global Chief Privacy Officer at Refinitiv, leading the global Privacy Office and overseeing global privacy strategy and practice.

Yasmine Chinwala, Partner, New Financial. New Financial contributed data to the government backed Gadhia Review of senior women in UK financial services and works with HM Treasury to conduct annual reviews of the Women in Finance Charter to monitor the progress of signatories. She is also Chair of the Women in Finance Charter Industry Board.

Dr Ylva Baeckstrom is a Lecturer in Banking & Finance at King’s Business School. Her research and teaching interests are in behavioural finance, investment decision making and investment advice, with a special interest in gender and the interplay between financial advisors and investors.
