
Helen Poon
Helen is a Corporate Development Specialist at Accenture, where she identifies high-impact investment opportunities, analyses M&A and innovation trends, and partners with leadership teams to execute strategic acquisitions across EMEA.
Previously, Helen worked in Corporate Development and Strategy at the Financial Times, where she supported M&A and growth equity investments that expanded the company’s presence among US and specialist audiences. She began her career as an M&A Investment Banking Analyst at HSBC Global Banking, after earning a BA in Economics from Durham University.
Helen is deeply committed to elevating underrepresented voices and creating inclusive platforms for meaningful dialogue. Her passion for equity and empowerment in finance is reflected in her roles as Publicity Officer at March Women in M&A, Communications Lead at the Accenture Asia Pacific Network, and President of the Accenture Speakers Toastmasters Club. Across these roles, she produces educational content, spotlights colleague achievements, and coaches communication skills.
As a member of the Future Leaders Shadow Board, Helen leads efforts to strengthen and engage the Alumni community. She designs content, events, and programmes that foster connection and celebrate the achievements of its hundreds of alumni.
