
WIBF strengthens people leadership with two new appointments
news published date 4 June 2026We are delighted to announce the appointment of Joanna Scott as Chief People Officer and Charlotte Mummery as Deputy Chief People Officer, with both joining the WIBF Management Board.
These newly created volunteer leadership roles reflect WIBF’s continued growth and commitment to supporting its people and volunteers. Working alongside the CEO and Management Board, Joanna and Charlotte will help ensure that WIBF’s people practices, volunteer experience and organisational culture continue to support ourmission and ambitions.
With more than 150 volunteers, contractors and team members contributing to WIBF’s work across the UK, the new roles will provide strategic oversight of volunteer engagement, people processes and organisational development, helping to ensure volunteers are well supported and able to make the greatest possible impact.
Joanna Scott appointed Chief People Officer

Joanna is currently Head of People Services at the National Wealth Fund, where she leads operational HR activity including reward, benefits, payroll, talent acquisition and HR operations. As a member of the HR Senior Leadership Team, she plays a key role in shaping people policies and strategy to support an inclusive and diverse workforce.
Her previous roles include senior HR leadership positions at Link Group and Nobia, where she led reward, performance, HR operations and large-scale transformation programmes. Joanna has also served as a Trustee Director for a Defined Contribution pension scheme, bringing valuable experience in governance, employee engagement and organisational change.
Speaking about her appointment, Joanna said:

Charlotte Mummery appointed Deputy Chief People Officer

Charlotte is currently Head of People at Perenna, where she leads the bank’s people and culture activities. Throughout her career, she has combined strategic leadership with a strong focus on employee engagement, leadership development and creating meaningful workplace experiences.
A passionate advocate for inclusion and access to opportunity, Charlotte brings a practical and people-centred perspective to the role and will play an important part in supporting WIBF’s volunteers and wider community.
Speaking about her appointment, Charlotte said:
“I am delighted to be joining the Women In Banking & Finance team. WIBF plays a vitally important role in supporting and advancing women across our industry, and I am excited to contribute to this mission whilst helping to strengthen and grow WIBF’s presence and impact across the North East”.

These appointments further strengthen WIBF’s leadership team as the organisation continues to grow its impact across financial services through mentoring, networking, thought leadership, events, research and community engagement.
