The Benchmark; a Moody’s series for the Investment community – Chapter 2

Join Moody’s at The Benchmark, a new Moody’s forum for the investment community on Thursday 2nd July 2026 at 2:30pm.

The initiative brings market participants together around the forces shaping markets, investment decisions and risk — combining perspectives from Moody’s with the experience and views of investment professionals and practitioners.

The focus of the event is private credit and macro-economic impacts to private credit. Participants include Banks, Insurance companies, Asset Managers and Hedge Funds.

A central aim is to create space for thoughtful exchange and to strengthen both professional and personal networks across the community.
While each chapter will focus on a specific theme, we also intend to explore ideas that may sit beyond immediate day-to-day priorities, but which can broaden perspectives, support learning and spark valuable conversations over time.

This second edition of The Benchmark will focus on Alternative Credit, how the macro themes explored in their April meeting have impacted the private credit markets, and how leading market participants are combining ratings-grade data & analytics with emerging technology to increase decision confidence and optimise outcomes.
