Supporting working parents with children’s mental health
news published date 17 July 2024
You are invited to the fourth webinar in the Diversity Project’s Parenting Horizons speaker series: Supporting working parents with children’s mental health, in partnership with WIBF.
It takes place online on Monday 23 September at 12.00pm.
We are so pleased to welcome an incredible panel of speakers –
Sir Peter Wanless, the CEO of NSPCC who will set the scene and state of play with children’s mental health. Following on we will hear from Stuart White, CEO of HSBC AM and Alison Unsted, CEO of MindForward Alliance about being a working parent, as well as the support required and how fostering an open culture in the workplace to support parents is essential.

Alison: Alison Unsted (mindforwardalliance.com)
Stuart: Stuart White – Diversity Project
With 1 in 5 children and young people now having a probable mental health condition, many parents are splitting their time between work and supporting their families and this is, therefore, a very important topic.

Ahead of the webinar, we would be very grateful if you would complete a very short, anonymous survey which asks whether you, as a working parent, have been affected by your child’s mental health and what support, if any, have you received from your workplace. (It would be great if you could complete this whether you are able to attend the webinar or not).
We look forward to seeing you there!
