Future Me Cohort Connect: An Inspiring Afternoon of Mentoring and Networking at ITRS
news published date 1 October 2025Last month, WIBF’s Future Me Student Mentoring Cohort came together in central London for an inspiring afternoon hosted by ITRS Group. The event, organised by Imogen Gammidge, FLSB Mentoring Lead, and Daria Perederii, Future Me Mentor, brought future leaders and students face-to-face with C-suite executives and senior leaders, creating a rare opportunity for personal career insights, networking, and mentorship.
The afternoon began with a powerful and engaging opening from Ryan Terpstra, CEO of ITRS Group, whose advice and stories set the tone for an energising and inspiring session. A live demonstration from Carlos Doval, Global Head of Professional Services, gave the cohort a fascinating look at ITRS’s technology and its critical role in keeping financial services businesses running.
This was followed by a fireside chat featuring Laura Taylor-Smith, Chief People Officer at ITRS Group, and other C-suite executives and senior leaders, who each shared candid reflections on leadership, career journeys, and navigating challenges in the industry.
Perhaps the highlight of the afternoon was the series of 1:1 conversations with senior leaders, where students had the chance to seek personal advice and guidance. Many commented on how meaningful this time was, and how the advice will leave a lasting impression on their careers.

The event closed with relaxed networking on the ITRS terrace, where students and leaders continued the conversation over food and drinks. The warm welcome and generosity of everyone at ITRS created an atmosphere that was approachable, energising, and truly inspiring.
