Do you know the benefits of mentoring?

Our mentoring programme has been running since 2017 and this year has seen the largest number of mentoring partnerships to date. However, we need more mentors… can you help?

The WIBF mentoring programme is always looking for mentors to match up with our mentees. 2023 has proven to be our most successful year yet with 264 matches completed already, which is a 130% increase vs prior year – to meet this increase in demand we are continuously looking for new mentors.

Now, how to tempt you onboard…

Mentoring is often thought about as a practice that is solely for the benefit of the mentee. However, research shows that mentoring benefits the mentor in many ways, outside of just feeling good about helping others:

– You can become a better leading by helping the mentee develop their career

– You often achieve your own career goals more quickly

– Gain exposure to different perspectives, new ideas and ways of thinking

– Create a legacy for yourself by helping shape tomorrow’s leaders

– Mentee’s can often teach you something as well

Mentors are able to access the WIBF mentoring programme without becoming a member of WIBF.

All we ask is that you commit a minimum of 1 hour per month for 6 months. We will match you with a mentee who could benefit from your skills and experience. We will also provide a helpful guide to help shape those initial mentoring conversations.
