Congratulations to our July Volunteer of the Month, Becky Breen, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the Future Leaders Shadow Board (FLSB) Governance Team.

As FLSB Governance Lead, Becky has played a pivotal role in strengthening the governance and operational foundations of the Shadow Board. Working closely with FLSB Secretariat Victoria White, she has led the development and refinement of key governance documents and processes, including the Terms of Reference, onboarding and offboarding processes, and wider governance frameworks that will continue to support the FLSB as it evolves.

Becky’s collaborative approach, professionalism and commitment to continuous improvement have made her an invaluable member of the team. She is known for bringing positivity, thoughtful ideas and a practical, solutions-focused mindset to everything she does, helping to create greater structure, clarity and consistency across the FLSB.

As Imogen Gammidge said in her nomination:

“Becky’s contribution often happens behind the scenes, but the impact of her work is felt across the wider team and will continue to benefit future volunteers joining the organisation.”

Alongside her work with the FLSB, Becky is also Co-Chair of WIBF Manchester, where she plays an important role in supporting and growing our regional community. More recently, she has taken on an exciting new volunteer role as Branch Development Lead, working alongside Jennie Koo to help strengthen and support WIBF’s regional branches across the UK.

Thank you, Becky, for everything you do for WIBF. Your dedication, leadership and willingness to support others continue to make a lasting difference across the organisation.
