The 21st annual Women in Banking and Finance Awards for Achievement, sponsored in 2017 and 2018 by Citi, will be held on Friday 15th June 2018 at the London Hilton on Park Lane. These long-standing, prestigious awards highlight the inspirational work going on every day in pursuit of gender parity and excellence in the banking and finance sector.

Vivienne Artz, President, Women in Banking and Finance (WIBF), said:

“The number of nominations for the WIBF Awards for Achievement continues to grow year on year, a source of celebration for WIBF and for the industry. We received far more nominations for this year’s WIBF Awards than ever before. This was marvellous, but, of course, meant much more work for our shortlisting panel! Not only because of the numbers involved, but also because the standard of nomination was so high.”

“Each year the WIBF Awards for Achievement reach more people and encourage more involvement with WIBF’s ambition of greater gender parity and greater opportunity within the industry.”

“Congratulations to the shortlisted nominees for the 2018 WIBF Awards for Achievement – the very best role models in the business.”

Jim Cowles, EMEA CEO, Citi, said:

“Having people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences in our teams brings different perspectives to the table, enhances decision-making, and improves overall business performance. Citi’s continued relationship with WIBF allows us to honour our diversity goals, in-relation to supporting women both at Citi and in the wider financial services industry to ensure female representation continues to grow and is appropriately recognised.”

The Rt Hon. Nicky Morgan MP was announced as the keynote speaker for this year’s WIBF Awards Luncheon. The Chair of the Treasury Select Committee and former Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities, said:

“WIBF’s 21st annual Awards Luncheon is a great opportunity to celebrate the top talent in the banking and finance industry. These are the role models who are inspiring thousands of young women to become the next CEO or CFO of a business.”
