2018 AWARDS LUNCHEON KEYNOTE SPEAKER | WIBF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

2018 WIBF AWARDS SHORTLIST

We received far more nominations for this year’s WIBF Awards than ever before. This was marvellous but, of course, meant much more work for our shortlisting panel who worked hard too! Not only because of the numbers involved but because the standard of nomination was so high.

Thank you sincerely to all who nominated a colleague. Thank you for your appreciation of your colleague and your belief in the power of spreading news of their achievements and learning from each others’ best practice and role models.

We will be announcing the shortlist very soon, look out for further communication.

Please join us at the WIBF Awards for Achievement Luncheon, sponsored by Citi, on Friday 15th June at the London Hilton on Park Lane when the winners will be revealed. Tickets available on our website as well as information about our 2018 charity, Bakhita House, and our judges.

WIBF AWARDS LUNCHEON KEYNOTE SPEAKER

I am delighted that we will welcome the Rt Hon. Nicky Morgan MP as the keynote speaker for this year’s WIBF Awards Luncheon. As Chair of the Treasury Select Committee and former Secretary of State for Education and Minister for Women and Equalities, I know Nicky will bring fascinating and very relevant insight to the Awards Luncheon.

Rt Hon. Nicky Morgan MP, said:

“WIBF’s 21st annual Awards Luncheon is a great opportunity to celebrate the top talent in the banking and finance industry. These are the role models who are inspiring thousands of young women to become the next CEO or CFO of a business.”

WOMEN IN FINANCE SUMMIT

I was honoured to speak at this year’s Women in Finance Summit on the 22nd March on the opening panel focussing on what can be done to identify the barriers to women entering and progressing in the financial services sector. We discussed promoting “The Power of Equality” and moving towards closing the “three Gs” – the participation gap, the remuneration gap and advancement gap.

Other speakers included our Keynote Speaker, Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP, Huw Evans Director General ABI, and Mary MacLeod LWF Ambassador and Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry.

WIBF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The WIBF AGM will take place on Tuesday 24th April, 6-8pm, in London. All members are very welcome to attend. More details can be found here
