WOMEN IN FINANCE SUMMIT 2017

Our support of the HM Treasury Women in Finance Charter is well known, particularly with Harriett Baldwin MP’s memorable address at our WIBF Awards for Achievement last year on the charter while she was City Minister. I am so delighted that WIBF’s support of this important Charter is continuing with our participation in the Women in Finance Summit 2017. The conference will review the practical aspects of implementing HM Treasury’s Charter, as well as promote effective corporate strategies for creating gender diversity at all levels of leadership. I am privileged to be part of the programme, joining the keynote panel moderated by Helena Morrissey, that addresses the topic of creating a culture shift – how to move from policy initiatives to true inclusion. It is sure to be a lively and thought-provoking session as I will be alongside AFME CEO Simon Lewis OBE, ABI Director General Huw
Evans and London Stock Exchange Group CRO Diane Cote.

As part of our partnership, the organisers have offered a 20% discount to WIBF members, taking the price of attending from £595 + VAT to £476.00 + VAT. To take advantage of this use the code WIF1WIBF. All the details are available on the event website https://www.cityandfinancialconferences.com/womeninfinance2017

The event is on the 24th January and offers a chance to get 2017 started in the manner in which we intend to continue.

MILKEN INSTITUTE LONDON SUMMIT 2016

Many thanks indeed to Michael Milken, James Morgan and team for inviting WIBF and Corporate Members to join them at the Milken Institute London Summit at the end of last year.

It was an incredible event with more than 120 international speakers focusing on the challenges facing the EU. The Corporate Members who joined us found the discussions very interesting and appreciated the opportunity to meet some of the inspirational people attending and speaking at the Summit.

NEXT WIBF PRESIDENT

We are delighted with the applications we have received for the role of the next WIBF President. We will be interviewing these excellent candidates this month and hope to be able to announce the new President of our organisation early this year.
