We’re delighted to share that WIBF President and CEO Anna Lane has been shortlisted for Social Enterprise Women’s Champion of the Year at the UK Social Enterprise Awards 2025. This recognition highlights Anna’s leadership and WIBF’s impact as a pioneering social enterprise driving equity and change in financial services.

We are delighted to announce that WIBF President and CEO Anna Lane has been shortlisted in the Social Enterprise Women’s Champion of the Year category at the UK Social Enterprise Awards 2025.

Run by Social Enterprise UK, the Awards celebrate the leading lights in our sector, showcasing diversity and impact across 15 categories.

Social enterprises are businesses that trade for a social or environmental purpose, and reinvest at least half their profits to further that mission. There are around 131,000 social enterprises in the UK, employing 2.3 million people, and we’re delighted to be recognised as one of the best in this pioneering business movement.

Commenting on being a UK Social Enterprise Awards finalist, Anna said: ““I’m honoured to be shortlisted for Social Enterprise Women’s Champion of the Year. This recognition shines a light not only on my journey but on the extraordinary efforts of the 130+ volunteers and thousands of members who power WIBF every year. Together, we are proving that equity in financial services isn’t just possible it’s essential. To see that work acknowledged on a national stage is deeply humbling, and a reminder of the impact women-led social enterprises can deliver.”

We’ll join other finalists and VIP guests at a prestigious awards ceremony at the Queen Elizabeth Hall at London’s Southbank Centre on 26 November, when the winners will be revealed.
