Update on our website

An update on our brand new digital platform.

Welcome to our new website! We’re glad you have found us! We believe it’s clean, modern and it’s been designed to create a much more memorable experiences for you, our members. Crucially, for the first time for a long while, it can also cope with the number of multiple technology requests a website should be able to handle in 2023!

This is much more than a new website and we can now benefit from the infrastructure WIBF needs as we seek to achieve the ambitions we have set out for our social enterprise.

Led by Deborah Vickers, our Chief Operating Officer, the focus has been on developing a robust and stable operations system that the current and future WIBF management team, volunteers and staff can rely on, but also one that will not have to be overhauled in a few years’ time. We can have confidence in an approach that uses a great content management system (WordPress, that has built 45% of the world’s websites) and is hosted on a superb cloud-based service (AWS powers Airbnb, Expedia, Netflix, LinkedIn and many more).

Another key focus of the migration has been data security. While this is always important given the membership information we hold, the desire to be able to build out our current software suite to encompass communities, mentoring, as well as the opportunity to better support you and ensure you achieve your ambitions in the UK financial services industry, means data security has become a cornerstone of the new digital platform.

The launch already represents a huge amount of work that the WIBF team is really proud of, but as with many of these projects, there may still be some bugs! If you spot any, please email the details to our operations team, who are also on hand to answer any immediate questions you may have or help you if you’re not able to reset your password. Corporate members will be seeing updates from Nicky King, about the next steps in our support for our fantastic partners.

We hope you like the new website and digital platform as much as we do.
