Responding to our members interest in this topic, we are excited to bring a 'Skills of the Future' panel event to our Midlands members, thanks to our hosts EY, in Birmingham. If you are currently in, or want to get into data, cyber, tech or wonder what skills and resources can help you further your career, this is the event for you! We have panel members from EY, Capital One, TXP and University of Birmingham answering questions such as how they got into their roles, what resources internally and externally they have found useful, key practical & soft skills to develop in these areas. Our WIBF moderator will guide the panel through questions and there will be time for Q&A, audience participation and networking throughout. A dynamic Management Consultant, Munmun has over 9 years of experience in technology, consulting in both public and private sectors. Munmun has broad range of experience across industries including FMCG, Financial Services, Pharmaceutical and professional services combining leadership and analytical ability to deliver large transformation projects focused on data strategy and next gen solutions.

Combining theory, practice and business agility for FinTech surrounding Ethically Aligned Design to drive digital inclusion, at the University of Birmingham Business School Karen is Co-Director of the FinTech MSc Programme, and leading a Hub for Responsible Growth: ESG/Sustainability (part of the Centre for Responsible Business) partnering the IEEE, whilst an affiliate of the Birmingham Institute for Sustainability and Climate Action (BISCA). She has been named as ‘Standout #35 Women in FinTech Powerlist by Innovate Finance’ for Policy and Governance 2019/2020/2021 and judge in 2024.

A proficient Cyber Security Architect, Preethi has expertise in implementing Enterprise Security Architecture, Security Frameworks, Cyber Security Design Patterns and defining Security Controls. Providing security governance through Threat Modelling and DevSecOps practices. Her experience includes Integration Architecture and SOA with architectural decision making, a strong technical background in building solutions in large scale, complex, enterprise applications using industry recognised best practices and design patterns.

Firdows studied Computer Science then gained a Masters of Science and International business in 2019. She began her career as a graduate developer and data analyst quickly progressing from Junior Scrum Master to Scrum Master. Firdows is a passionate advocate of women in tech, particularly in promoting opportunity, diversity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace.
