About WCBI
The World Conference of Banking Institutes (WCBI) was inaugurated in 1975 as an opportunity for banking educators and standards setters from across the world to share best practice. Since then, the scope of this prestigious conference has grown.
The WCBI is now a global forum that brings together a high-level audience of banking practitioners, policy makers, regulators and service providers. It facilitates debate about the future of the sector, collaboration and networking.
The last time the WCBI was hosted in London was 1979, 40 years ago. Every two years, a different institute is entrusted with the curation and organisation of the WCBI.
The conference covered a wide range of topical issues over the past 43 years and was held across the globe in Europe, Africa, Asia, America and Oceania.
