About this event

Session 2 - Behavioural styles

As part of the WIBF Mentoring Programme, we are pleased to introduce a series of dedicated learning sessions designed specifically for our mentors.

These sessions provide a supportive and collaborative space for mentors to develop their skills, deepen their knowledge, and share experiences with one another.

The sessions are designed to support and strengthen the mentor community by exploring key topics that are central to effective mentoring. Rather than a traditional training format, these sessions are built around collective experience and open conversation, recognising that our mentors bring a wealth of insight and expertise that is best shared together.

Each session runs for one hour and combines a short slide presentation on the topic with facilitated group discussion and experience sharing. The emphasis is firmly on dialogue - every mentor's perspective and lived experience is valued and encouraged.

Sessions will cover a broad range of subjects relevant to the mentoring journey, including Impactful Mentoring, Behavioural Styles, Boundaries, Biases, Ethical Dilemmas, Challenging Conversations, and more.

You can attend as many or as few of the session as you wish, each session is a stand alone event, but of course we would love to see you at all the sessions!

This session on behavioural Styles will explore how different communication and working preferences shape mentoring relationships, helping mentors better understand themselves and their mentees, adapt their approach, and build more effective, productive and supportive partnerships.

These sessions are open to all mentors participating in the WIBF Mentoring Programme. Whether you are a seasoned mentor or newer to the role, you will find value in connecting with peers and reflecting on your practice.
