As the need for mobility grows along with our ever-increasing need for functionality at low-cost and quicker lead times, industries are challenged with maintaining even the foundational elements of good cyber security.

Over the years, cyber security has evolved from compliance tick-box exercises that allowed for us all to feel safe into the risk and threat-based business function that many of us are more familiar with today. However, as we recognise the importance of having a strong technical capability, we must ask ourselves, are we giving sufficient time and attention to other, equally as important elements of cyber security? For many of us, the answer is clearly no. Many of the breaches we are saying in the media are avoidable, but not necessarily through the use of technology, rather, people and process.

In this talk, Zoë Rose will share her insights on the importance of having a well balanced cyber security capability that brings together people, process and technology. During this talk you will learn about the operators and common technique behind “AdvancedPersistent Threats” and what we, as business leaders, should be doing when we say “we take your security and privacy seriously”.

Zoë Rose is a highly regarded hands-on cyber security specialist, who helps her clients better identify and manage their vulnerabilities and embed effective cyber resilience across their organization.
