Event overview

Rachel Weiss, founder of Menopause Café, will talk about how Menopause Café started and then we'll hold our own Menopause Café, a group-directed discussion about the menopause.

Bookings are closed for this event.

“More women will experience menopause than will experience pregnancy“.

“Women aged 50-64 are the fastest growing employment demographic in the last 10 years”.

“Workplaces generally aren’t well set up to enable proactive discussion of the issues women experience during menopause and to finding solutions that allow them to thrive in the workplace”.

“If women aren’t having this conversation, then the men certainly aren’t!”

These we just some of the facts and insights shared by Rachel Weiss at the Menopause Café event run by the Edinburgh WIBF team at the lovely Clydesdale Bank premises on George Street Edinburgh.

We also discussed some of the many symptoms women can experience and some ways they can help to relieve them.

The women attending went on to exchange a wealth of real information and advice on how to cope and adapt to this change we’ll all experience, both at work and at home.
And we’re hoping that one of the outputs will be a Menopause Café set up so women and men in Edinburgh, across all sectors can join in.
