Event overview

Join us for a regulatory round-up business breakfast for an update on key issues for the banking and finance sector in 2019/20.

Bookings are closed for this event.

June’s Regulatory Round-Up Breakfast was a great success. Pinsent Masons hosted and solicitors Alice Stretch and Lauren McCarthy began the session by discussing the changing payments landscape including developments in Authorised Pushed Payment Fraud, Confirmations of Payee Proposals, the New Payments Architecture, and what’s next for open banking. They also provided an update on the FCA’s continued consumer protection focus and the audience got involved in the conversation around vulnerable consumers and access to cash.

Victoria Baron, also a Solicitor at Pinsent Masons then presented on Cyber Resilience, providing information around who the attackers are, what the Threat Landscape looks like, Regulation, Liability and Future Trends.

The event was really well received with attendees commenting that it was interesting, informative and terrifying all at once!
