Scrutiny of how female representation and gender equality is viewed by the investment industry in relation to its other stewardship responsibilities. The FRC has recently defined effective stewardship as the “Responsible allocation, management and oversight of capital to create long-term value for clients and beneficiaries leading to sustainable benefits for the economy, the environment and society.”
Yasmine Chinwala, Partner at New Financial will present highlights of New Financial’s research on Diversity from an Investor’s Perspective, followed by a panel discussion on how far the investment industry should go to create a culture that will enable stewardship of the social impact of their investments on women and whether the approach should be different to that they adopt on climate change.
