This workshop focuses on the role of chairing a meeting, whether face-to-face or virtual.
Workshop Structure
In this session facilitators Susan Young and Kate Montague will cover the following areas:
- Introductions and objective setting
- Voice clinic - warm up, feedback and practical exercises for communicating with voice only for when you are unable to see audience
- Review practices for effective chairing of meetings
- There will be a meeting role play session
SUSAN YOUNG
Susan is a global executive with extensive business leadership experience with organisations of varying size and across many sectors. She has held positions in marketing and management development with GE, Black & Decker and Laura Ashley, and was Managing Director-Europe for Aero Products International and First Alert. Her specific areas of commercial expertise are within marketing, business strategy and product development.
Since completing her MSc in Organisational Psychology from Birkbeck College, University of London in 2008, Susan has worked with individuals and groups to deal with business difficulties and help to improve their performance.
As leader of City Academy’s Business Training & Development team, Susan has devised a training programme that, through the power of performing arts training, delivers solutions to business issues and helps individuals, teams and organisations achieve their goals.
KATE MONTAGUE
Kate Montague is a senior tutor at City Academy. She is a highly experienced voice tutor, presentation skills trainer and coach and has a degree in acting and a Masters in voice studies from London’s Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Kate is an experienced actress with credits in theatre, television and film. She specialises in Personal Impact, Public Speaking, Presentation Skills, Voice and Speech coaching, and Accent Softening.
