In January 2022 we announced that WIBF was becoming a Social Enterprise, a move designed to maximise our impact, social goals, and reinforce our commitment to a sustainable financial services industry.

Our new strategy includes a focus on social mobility, encouraging women and girls from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to consider a career in finance. As part of this strategy, we are delighted to announce that we will be partnering with the EY Foundation and the Chartered Banker Institute (CBI) on their Smart Futures Programme - which supports talented young people from low-income households to pursue a career in finance through paid work experience, employability skills training and career guidance.

Our collaboration will see WIBF bring a gender lens to the programme, leveraging our 40+ years’ experience leading the charge in gender equality in financial services and the insights from our industry Leading ACT Research Programme in association with The London School of Economics and The Wisdom Council.

To kick off this exciting initiative and hear more about the EY Foundation/CBI Smart Futures Programme and how our members and wider network can get involved we are delighted to host a series of introductory webinars with WIBF President Anna Lane, the EY Foundation and the CBI.

Through this partnership, WIBF and our members will be part of the movement to bring a generation of young women into the banking and finance sector who might otherwise have never opted for a career in our industry.

We hope you can join us.

This virtual event will be delivered via Zoom - please register with us in advance of the session to ensure you receive the joining instructions.
