Event overview

At the first Roundtable event of 2021 we will discuss a behavioural approach to driving gender equality, led by Hannah Burd, Principal Advisor at the Behavioural Insights Team, leading the Gender and Behavioural Insights Programme (GABI).

WIBF Partner Roundtable: A behavioural approach to driving gender equality: the latest research from GABI.

This event is invite only.

In recent years, we have applied a new way of thinking involving behavioural insights to our work on gender equality. From removing personal details on applications to using language that resonates with a mixed talent pool of applicants, we are increasingly applying behavioural science approaches to our diversity and inclusion efforts.

At this Roundtable event, we will be joined by Hannah Burd, Principal Advisor at the Behavioural Insights Team, leading the Gender and Behavioural Insights Programme (GABI). GABI is a collaborative research programme, which applies evidence driven methods of behavioural science to the challenge of gender equality at work. The programme works with large UK-based employers to design, trial and evaluate behavioural interventions to reduce the gender pay gap and improve gender equality more broadly.

Hannah is a behavioural expert with experience working across behaviour change and service improvement projects in a range of settings. Hannah is also accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

At this session we will consider:

  • the key findings from GABI trials around innovative changes to HR processes to promote equality, diversity and inclusions in large organisations
  • how behavioural science techniques can help to improve gender equality in the workplace
  • best practice and approaches taken by your organisations using behavioural insights

This roundtable will be most suited for Heads of D&I and/or the Chairs of your Gender/Women’s Networks.

This event will be hosted virtually via Zoom.
