Invite Only Event

As organisations increase their focus on retaining and advancing talented women, the next release for WIBF’s Accelerating Change Together (ACT) research programme has been very timely. The GOOD FINANCE Framework was launched on 16th June 2021; we thought this would make a great topic for the next Partner Roundtable event, which will be on Wednesday 7th July.

Please note this session is a separate one to the discussion being organised for 5th July, which follows on from the Partner Roundtable on 29th April, Thinking Outside the Box to Source Diverse Candidates, and seeks to progress your benefits with regard to the WIBF Jobs Board.

The ACT research is the first cross industry gender lens research programme in Financial Services and The GOOD FINANCE Framework helpfully suggests concrete actions for implementation. Its findings essentially challenge the ‘male model’ of leadership which acts as a barrier to the success of female talent. It provides accounts of how men and women are treated differently, for example, ‘women are held to higher standards across financial services compared to their male counterparts’.

At this Roundtable, we will have an in-depth and interactive discussion on how to put The GOOD FINANCE Framework into practice in our organisations and what the opportunities and challenges for implementation might be.

We will specifically cover:

  • a summary of the research findings
  • the practical steps organisations can take to advance female talent
  • how the suggested actions can be implemented in your organisations
  • Please come ready to share thoughts, ideas and good practice.

This roundtable will be most suited to Heads of HR, Heads of D&I and the Chairs of your Gender/Women’s Networks.

This event will be hosted virtually via Zoom.
