It is a joint responsibility of employer and employee to ensure the right conditions and communications exist to support everyone to thrive at work. We do this for pregnancy and now it is time to do it for menopause too.
Women are working longer, later into life and are holding more senior positions than ever before. Women aged 50+ are the fastest growing cohort of UK employees and this age coincides with the time when a women transitions through menopause. 80% of women experience menopausal symptoms that range from moderate to debilitating, without the right support. Businesses must understand and support their female colleagues to ensure they have the optimal working environment to flourish through menopause. 100% of women who live that long, go through menopause and 100% of people around her are impacted.

Lauren Chiren is the Founder and Managing Director of Women of a Certain Stage. She is a catalyst for change and educates employers on menopause and implements systems to retain and ensure top female talent flourish.
Lauren’s message and work with mindset and health, has woven throughout her career and spans celebrity circles to the executive suite. With her health and lifestyle businesses to date, she has impacted 1000’s of people across the globe through her TV and radio appearances, talks, courses and private sessions. Lauren feels passionately about making sure businesses and women are fully supported by providing current information and tools and techniques to stay well and symptom-free.
Lauren is all about transformation. She has a background in psychology, fitness, sports therapy, nutrition and business and health coaching. She is a member of the British Menopause Society and a mentor for WIBF and has spent over 20 years working in the corporate world, implementing operational systems to increase productivity and efficiency and in complex technical, regulatory and business change programmes in financial services.
