Kate Surala

As a child Kate Surala watched her mother represent minors as a social worker. Inspired by what she saw, she went on to study MSc in Law and Finance at University of Oxford. Today, Kate is Head of Investment Compliance Advisory at M&G in London. Between 2017 and 2020, Kate helped a boutique equity research firm in London to double in terms of revenue and staff by leading the legal and compliance team as well as advising on the strategic development of the business.

As recognition of her achievements to date, Kate was recognised in Management Today’s 35 Women Under 35 2019 list, shortlisted for the Women in Finance 2020 Awards, and the Women in Financial Advice Awards 2020.

Vivienne Artz OBE

Vivienne is the Chief Privacy Officer at Refinitiv, leading the Global Privacy Office and overseeing global privacy strategy and practice. Vivienne chairs the International Regulatory Strategy Group Data Working Group and is on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), having previously served on IAPP European Advisory Board and been co-chair of the IAPP Knowledge Net for the UK. Vivienne is a former chair of the AFME Data Protection Working Group and participated in the UK Finance and CBI Data Protection Working Groups. Vivienne is also on the Business and Law Advisory Board of St Mary’s University in the UK.

Vivienne was President & CEO of WIBF from 2017 - 2020 and was awarded Officer of the Order of the British Empire as part of the 2020 Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for services to financial services and gender diversity.

Maja Marszalek is the European Head of Client Development at ACA Compliance Group, where she is responsible for the development and management of the UK sales team, as well as driving growth for ACA’s regulatory reporting, cyber and technology businesses in Europe. Maja is a mentor and co-chairs WIBF’s Hot Topics programme of events. She has an Executive MBA from Warwick Business School and in 2019 was nominated for the Rising Star in Professional Services Award.
