We are delighted to welcome Janet Mui to discuss the impact of COVID, the new vaccine and the upcoming president on the world economy.

After an extraordinary year, we take a look at what may lie ahead for the world economy and investors in 2021, with expectations of a sustained recovery on the horizon. There is no doubt that 2020 was a difficult year for almost everyone. The global lockdowns during the Covid-19 pandemic resulted in a deep contraction for the global economy. Looking ahead, the prospects for 2021 look brighter – offering the prospect of a return to normality, and with that greater certainty.

Janet Mui is an Investment director at Brewin Dolphin and a spokesperson with over a decade of experience as economist/strategist. She has extensive experience in the analysis, proposal and communication of macro strategy and investment views. She is a frequent commentator in written and televised media, including the BBC, Bloomberg, CNBC, Reuters and an avid supporter of gender equality in finance.
