Stress - My Story, By Susan Townsend
In this session, Susan Townsend will share her personal story of her journey with stress over the last 18 months. Having never suffered with any mental health challenges, a perfect storm of circumstances led to one of the biggest challenges she has faced. Having fully recovered, Susan is now a keen ambassador for Mental Health awareness.
Susan will share insights into her journey, from the start, through the darkest moments, to her road to recovery and beyond. Her aim is to spread awareness; it can happen to anyone; if it does, know you are not alone; and how important it is to talk about it.
- Connecting with others – the power of supportive relationships
- Be physically active – it has been proven that the physical exercise can have a positive change
- Give to others – help to break down barriers and be supportive
- Mindfulness – it can help you to enjoy life better and understand yourself more
