Mindful Leadership: Going Back to Basics
WIBF and NatWest are delighted to co-host this session on Mindfulness, led by guest speaker Michelle Strain.
As someone who was both ‘managed’ and a ‘manager’, Michelle became acutely aware of the impact of these ‘tiers’ of leadership and how much they impacted on the provision of operational work.
After becoming a self-employed Social Work Consultant early in 2017, her two worlds collided and led to her passion for bringing mindfulness, care and compassion into the workplace. Michelle had no concept at the start of 2020, just how important that would be.
None of us know how we will come out of this pandemic but we can be certain that the impact will be significant. More than ever, we need to be human, compassionate and mindful.
- Better understanding of your own thought and behaviour patterns
- Creating the space to respond, not react
- Mindfulness can support you in leadership
- Mindfulness increases creativity, focus and performance
