WIBF and ING are pleased to be hosting five distinguished women to talk about the journey to the boardroom. Our panel will speak on a range of topics including improving the representation of women in leadership positions, the skill set required for non-executive director (NED) positions, how to manage a portfolio career and balancing a NED role with a demanding Executive position.

Denise Wilson OBE

Chief executive of the Government’s Davies Review on women on boards, Denise is a NED in the insurance industry and has significant experience at board level in FTSE listed companies, FCA and Ofgem regulated entities and national charitable organisations.

Karina Robinson

CEO of board search Chair/CEO advisory firm Robinson Hambro, Karina offers expert experience on building your CV and profile. She sits on the Court of Governors of the London School of Economics, is Chairman of the Lord Mayor’s Appeal Advisory Board and sits on the Advisory Board of the Global Female Leaders Summit, among other roles.

Siobhan Walker

A Managing Director at ING, Siobhan has five years Board level experience as a Non Executive Board Director with Global Ports Investments PLC, a large container terminal operator in Russia and Estonia.

Leslie Ferrar CVO

Treasurer to Charles, Prince of Wales from January 2005 until July 2012, Leslie has taken on a number of Non-Executive and Trustee roles since leaving the Royal Household including NED roles on HMRC’s Audit and
Risk Committee, Penna Consulting, The Rothschild Foundation and Institution of the Works of Religion (The Vatican Bank).

Geraldine Kelly

 

Charing the panel will be Geraldine, a Managing Director at ING with significant experience on charity boards including the Friends of the Royal Academy of Art and Birds Eye View, a charity that agitates, elevates and
celebrates films by and about women to all audiences.
