WIBF were delighted to welcome Cat Trebilco of Reach The Peak to HSBC for the second Personal Excellence event of the year in Edinburgh. Cat’s career began in HR where she moved up through various roles within Financial Services, fulfilling her passion to help people. However, something was missing – her love of the outdoors. To combine her two passions, Cat set up Reach The Peak – a coaching company where sessions are held in the outdoors.
The NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programme) coaching technique was explained by Cat, relating it to her own experience. During the event, everyone worked in pairs and put in to practice the NLP method asking each other the coaching questions provided. The responses to the questions helped individuals review their values and the parts of their current roles that they liked and disliked.
After all of the questions were answered, we took time to feel our sense of purpose and see the bigger picture, with the ultimate goal to take steps towards the career we really want.
Cat provided a thoroughly enjoyable and though-provoking workshop as well as a useful technique that can be applied to multiple scenarios in both personal and work life.
