We are delighted to bring to you Women in Banking & Finance Birmingham’s first Women on Boards event generously hosted by Hays.

This exciting event aims to showcase senior female role models for those aspiring to Board level whatever stage they are at in their careers.

Confirmed speakers:

Fiona HathornManaging Director of Women on Boards UK - Formerly a director of Old Mutual Asset Management and Hill Samuel Asset Management, running the Global Equities and Emerging Markets Desks respectively. In 2012 Fiona decided to launch Women on Boards UK. Women on Boards UK’s aims are simply - to encourage and support women applying for board roles across the Public, Private and Not for Profit Sectors.

Amelia McCannHead of Development at CHIC Ltd (Central Housing Investment Consortium) - Non-Executive Board member of St. Basils Housing and chairs the Development & Service Delivery Sub-Committee, providing corporate governance advice, support, as well as panel duties for final stage complaints and disciplinary action. St Basils helps young people aged 16-25, across the West Midlands region, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Henrietta BrealeyDirector of Policy & Strategy Relationships at the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce - Appointed to the role in 2015. She was formally co-opted on to the GBCC Board as an executive director at the Chambers’ AGM in September 2018 at the age of 28, making her one of the youngest board members in her company’s over 200 year history. Outside of work, she is part of the One Million Mentors Emerging Leaders Network Advisory Board and a graduate and supporter of the UpRising Leadership Programme.
